Bille Joe Armstrong & Norah Jones Team Up For Unlikely Album

In Weird, Wild, Wonderful news, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and crooner Norah Jones have teamed up to record a tribute album of the Everly Brothers 1958 release, Songs Our Daddy Taught Us. The album, Foreverly, includes hits like Barbara Allen, Long Time Gone, and Kentucky, and is dropping November 25th.

The release of a full song, Silver Haired Daddy of Mine, is a great taste of what’s to come from the album, and is shockingly…lovely.  Their voices mesh so perfectly with a signature (gentle) tinniness and dueling melodies that you are immediately brought back to the original album.  It’s all sorts of shades of Allison Krauss & Robert Plant, and I don’t say that lightly.
