Serbian archeologists have discovered a graveyard of at least 5 Mammoths, probably of the Wooly variety, which disappeared around 10,000 years ago.
And I discovered a Mammoth variety of my own!
This is the first graveyard of it’s kind in the region and offers a multitude of study opportunities since mammoth remains are often just fragments or ‘too inaccessible’ to excavate. Here they have a mass of bones all in the same spot. It’s Mammoth -Mayhem!
Also remarkable is the rediscovery of the following illustrations. These are from my journal. My college journal. Based on a conversation with a friend of mine, Sammy, he came up with the following:
This, my friends, is My Little Mammoth. MLM comes with a ton of accessories, like a comb for his wooly coat, bottle, elephant gun, interchangeable tusks and feet, and a thong! It was based on our conversation that 1. Wooly Mammoths are adorable and 2. Wooly Mammoths would be more adorable if they were tiny. And so, My Little Mammoth was born.
Also included in my journal, courtesy of Sammy, is this gem:
I believe this was his attempt to cheer me up after a breakup. I hate being emotional (as anyone who knows me can attest to) and unfortunately Sammy must have gotten part of my ‘wallowing in self pity’ phase. So he drew me this to make me feel better and put things in perspective. And it worked.
Friendship and dinosaurs save the day again.
