Junkyard Gift Guide: Sweet Treats

I love giving food as a gift. There are so many ways to work it into a present, on its own or combined in a basket with other like-gifts. Got a regional rarity? Bring something from your local community as a gift – it’s personal! In my case, I have a lot of people who just don’t want ‘stuff’. They’ve got too much crap in their house, so why not give them something to ingest dispose of?

In this version, I give you sweet treats for everyone on your list.

Solid Maple Cube by Tonewood in Vermont

maple cube, maple syrup cube, solid maple syrup

This beast is 7oz of pure Vermont Maple Syrup and perfect for anyone as obsessed with real maple syrup as…well…everyone I know is.  Break off chunks to sprinkle on your oatmeal, or over dessert.  Or just in your mouth because it’s delicious.

Sweet Lydia’s Candy Bars & S’mores (bonus discount!)

These bars are densely packed decliciousness and perfect for a stocking.  Between the bars, the s’mores, and caramels, your teeth won’t thank you, but your indulgent taste buds will.

The Alex Monster

homemade candybar, sweet lydias candy, candy bars, stocking stuffers

Prepare yourself. This Kickstarter-Reward candy bar is like no other. Chocolate chip cookie dough is layered with our soft chewy vanilla caramel and covered in milk chocolate. This bad boy is here to stay by popular demand, at least for now . . .

The Twickers Bar

Homemade shortbread is topped with tons of roasted Virginia peanuts and rich caramel before being covered in milk chocolate. Each bar is 3 1/2″ x 2″ x 1″ and about 4oz of made-from-scratch sweetness.

Peanut Butter S’More Bar

Gourmet Vanilla Marshmallow is sandwiched between peanut buttered graham crackers, and covered in milk chocolate. Peanut Butter packs an extra punch in this marshmallow-chocolate knockout.  Each s’more is individually wrapped, perfect for sharing or keeping all to yourself.
