The New York Times wrote a whole long thing about LaBeouf spending 24hrs in an elevator, chatting with the normals as they popped in and out.
You can read it if you want. I don’t really have much to add. Perhaps an unpopular opinion because of his public personae as of late, but I’ve always thought he was a very talented actor and his off-film shenanigans don’t really phase me much. I don’t even try to understand it because I’m not sure there’s anything to understand. Maybe I’m missing something. I don’t particularly care one way or another. In fact, outside of his work, I am completely unfazed by Shia’s activities…which is strange due to my love of irrational pop-cultural nonsense! This has been an entire paragraph of me saying nothing, for the record.
“What’s it like being a celebrity?” one young man asked.
“Sometimes it’s really cool, and sometimes it’s not so cool,” Mr. LaBeouf said. “There’s positives and negatives, like all things.”
