Those Fiennes’ sure are great at making Shakespeare look gooooood.
Here we have a modernish (what era is this in??) take on the epic “they build you up, they break you down” Coriolanus. This is also Ralph Fiennes’ directorial debut (not to mention it’s nice to see him in something where he actually has a nose)…and I hope this ushers in a new era of “tell Branagh this is how it’s done”. And, it’s pretty great to see Vanessa Redgrave kicking ass here. Sign me up!
