Jackie Chan Ending Action Movie Career, Let’s Take A Look At His Oeuvre

Jackie Chan announced this weekend at the Cannes Film Fest that he is bowing out of action films, with his latest film, Chinese Zodiac.

His career has been long, storied and often fairly bizarre.  From working with Bruce Lee to starring in over 100 movies to being a legit pop-star in China, he’s got a lot to be proud of.  Let’s take a look at his most memorable moments in action movie history!

We are going to start with what is probably his most famous film – Drunken Master.

And his directorial debut, The Young Master, was actually pretty important – it was the first Kung Fu film to blend humor and action together. Which pretty much set the stage for his entire career.

And let’s watch him try to speak English and mess up his stunts with a favorite of mine, Ruby Rhod.

So here’s to you, Jackie. At 50+ years old you still kick some ass, make us laugh, and your English has improved considerably (better than some American’s I’ve met, frankly)! You are an international shining star. Here’s hoping this isn’t the last we hear from you.
